What you're agreeing to

By using PlantOps AI, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service. These terms are a legal agreement between you (or the company you represent) and PlantOps AI.

PlantOps AI is a SaaS platform that generates safety and compliance documents for food processing and industrial plant operations using artificial intelligence.

AI-generated content — important disclaimer

This is the most important section of these terms. Please read it carefully.

All documents generated by PlantOps AI — including Job Safety Analyses (JSA), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Lockout/Tagout procedures (LOTO), and training materials — are AI-generated starting points. They are not finished documents ready for immediate use without review.

Every generated document must be reviewed, verified, and approved by qualified safety professionals before being used in your plant operations. AI can make mistakes, miss site-specific hazards, or produce content that doesn't match your exact equipment and processes.

PlantOps AI is not a substitute for professional safety consultation. You are responsible for ensuring all documents meet your regulatory requirements, accurately reflect your plant's conditions, and are appropriate for your operations before putting them into use.

Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Use a strong, unique password and don't share your login with others. If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password immediately and contact us.

You must provide accurate information when creating your account. One person or company may maintain multiple accounts only if each serves a distinct plant or facility.

Subscription and payments

PlantOps AI offers paid subscription plans. Payments are processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis according to your chosen plan.

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access until then.
• We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-cycle, you keep access through the end of the period you paid for.
• We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes apply to the next billing cycle, not your current one.

Your data

You own your data. The plant information, employee details, and generated documents you create in PlantOps AI belong to you. We do not claim ownership of your content.

• You can export your documents at any time in standard formats.
• You can request deletion of all your data at any time by contacting us or deleting your account.
• We use your data only to provide the service — generating and storing your documents. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

You grant us a limited license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the service (including sending it to the Anthropic API for document generation). This license ends when you delete your data or account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use PlantOps AI for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the service.
• Share your account credentials or allow unauthorized third parties to access your account.
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or overload the service.
• Resell or redistribute generated documents as a competing service.

Service availability

We work hard to keep PlantOps AI running reliably, but we provide the service on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee any specific uptime percentage or response time.

The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or factors outside our control (such as third-party API outages). We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned downtime in advance.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlantOps AI and its operators shall not be liable for:

• Any injuries, damages, or losses resulting from the use of AI-generated documents. You are responsible for reviewing and validating all generated content before use.
• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service.
• Loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities.

Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise), even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Termination

You can close your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, fail to pay for your subscription, or use the service in a way that could harm other users or the service itself.

If we terminate your account, we will provide you with a reasonable opportunity to export your data unless termination is due to a serious violation (such as illegal activity).

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of PlantOps AI after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the Province of Prince Edward Island.
